Sweet and Smoky Barbecued Meatballs

  • 4 slices uncooked bacon, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (9.5 oz.) jar Santa Cruz Organic® Blackberry Pomegranate Fruit Spread
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2/3 cup True Made Foods Pitmaster BBQ Sauce
  • 2 (11 oz.) packages frozen fully-cooked beef bite-size meatballs (about 44 (1/2 oz.) meatballs)


  • Step 1

    COOK bacon in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until almost crisp.

  • Step 2

    STIR in onion. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

  • Step 3

    STIR in fruit spread, water and BBQ sauce. Bring to a simmer.

  • Step 4

    ADD meatballs, stirring to coat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are heated through.
